A hollow structural section member connects to a fourteen by eight by one-half inch steel base plate via a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. The base plate is anchored to a concrete substrate using four three-eighths inch diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ-two expansion anchors with a three-inch minimum embedment. Typical edge distance is one and one-half inches.
