A wide-flange steel beam connects to a concrete support utilizing a five-eighths by sixteen-inch by two-foot-one-inch embed plate secured with twelve three-quarter-inch welded head studs or anchor bolts. The beam web connects via a bolted shear tab arrangement with four vertical bolts. Ledgers flank the beam on each side, welded to the embed plate with a quarter-inch fillet weld typically. Additional ledger attachment uses wood screws or anchor bolts spaced within a one-foot maximum dimension from the support face.
