A brace attachment to a bare metal deck is sized per the project schedule. The brace bracket connects via a strut that may be installed in either the upper or lower flute of the metal deck. Connections to the bare metal deck and the brace components are detailed per the approved standard detail or manufacturer specifications. The brace transfers lateral loads, indicated by force vector Fp at angle theta, into the metal deck assembly.
