A continuous masonry wall runs parallel to a wide flange beam and connects via a bent plate anchored into a bond beam. The assembly uses two five-eighths inch diameter threaded studs at nine inch gauge welded to the bottom flange of the beam. A horizontal laminated strand lumber member runs parallel to the wall in the angle at the connection to the underside of the beam, secured with a finger tight nut and peened threads to prevent loosening. A bent plate measuring five-sixteenths by four inches by one foot three inches wide is provided at each brace with a vertical laminated strand lumber member and two half-inch diameter anchor rods at twelve inches on center grouted in the cell. A brace connects to the underside of the concrete on steel deck at each bent plate location, and the wall extends to the typical wall top connection at the next floor with a variable distance up to one foot maximum.
