A gusset plate designated T1 connects a structural steel beam and brace to a steel column. An L4x3-1/2x3/8 angle with long leg vertical connects the top and bottom of the gusset plate with a minimum of two bolts on each leg. The brace connects to the gusset plate using N1 bolts as specified in drawing notes. The supporting beam requires a minimum depth of twelve inches.
