An elevator steel base plate assembly featuring an HSS post or column welded to a one-half-inch base plate resting on a one-inch shim and grout pack. The base plate is anchored to the concrete slab on metal deck using three-quarter-inch diameter Kwik Bolt TZ expansion anchors with four-and-three-quarter-inch embedment. Typical one-quarter-inch fillet welds secure the structural steel connections as specified for both column base conditions. An HSS14x6x5/8 girt frames into the assembly with HSS rail support posts positioned between the girts and slab.
