A two-foot, eight-inch square concrete masonry unit column is fully grouted with a central void filled and twelve number four vertical reinforcing bars running throughout. Number four ties are spaced at eight inches on center enclosing the vertical steel. A three-eighths by five by twelve-inch steel plate connects to the masonry face using two one-half-inch diameter Hilti HIT HY-150 epoxy anchors with a minimum four and one-half inch embedment. An adjoining structural member labeled as by others extends outward from the connection plate.
