A structural steel column is encased in four-thousand PSI minimum concrete with a two-inch typical clear cover. The encasement features twelve number-six vertical reinforcing bars and number-four ties spaced at eight inches on center with one-hundred-thirty-five-degree hooks. Typical stirrups include one-hundred-eighty-degree hooks. Alternate tie orientation is required per structural notes, with locations specified on the plan.
