An existing wood purlin connects to an existing concrete wall using a Simpson HDU4 holdown and a 5/8-inch-diameter threaded rod secured with Hilti HIT-RE 500 V3 epoxy at a 6 1/2-inch embedment depth into the center of the purlin. An existing ledger and sheathing support the framing assembly at the concrete wall interface, with holdowns and anchors installed on each side.
