A new reinforcing dowel connects into an existing concrete wall or footing using an epoxy adhesive anchor. The drilled hole diameter equals the bar diameter plus one-eighth of an inch. Holes are cleaned with oil-free compressed air prior to epoxy installation following manufacturer instructions. Bar lap lengths and accepted epoxy types conform to general structural notes.
