A hoop support connection utilizes an HSS6x6x5/16 vertical member framing into an HSS6x6x1/4 horizontal member. A WT5x7.7 by 12 inches long structural tee provides the hoop support location, welded with 3/16-inch fillet welds on three sides. Angle sections designated as L6x6x3/8 by 4 inches long are attached to each side of the HSS using two 3/4-inch diameter machine bolts. Additional 3/16-inch fillet welds connect the members with specified clearances of 2 inches and 2 1/2 inches. The hoop support and its connection to the WT section are installed per manufacturer specifications.
