A structural steel davit support connection framing into a beam intersection, comprising a square davit pedestal base plate measuring three-quarters of an inch by twelve inches minimum welded to the beam flanges with a three-eighths-inch fillet weld. Three-eighths-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam web and flanges using quarter-inch typical fillet welds. Additional half-inch by four-inch plates are attached to each side with quarter-inch fillet welds to reinforce the beam flanges and webs at the intersection.
