Precast concrete panel returns anchor back to structural ledgers using a system of embedded plates and welded structural shapes. A bent plate measuring nine and three-quarters inches by three feet by one-half inch thick features eight three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch long welded studs and three number six bent hooks at six inches on center with full penetration welds to the plate. Channel and angle ledgers tie into embed plates with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds while one-half inch thick top and bottom plates secure the assembly. Three number six by four-foot long dowels tie the return panel to the ledger assembly with full penetration welds. Additional detailing shows continuous one-quarter inch fillet welds along the top and bottom plates as specified on the roof framing plan.
