An interior wall terminates below a concrete slab or beam with a typical top-of-wall gap. The wall uses a bond beam at its upper courses. An L4x4x1/4 by 1'-3" angle bracket is secured to each side of the wall and anchored to the overhead concrete slab or beam with two 5/8-inch diameter expansion anchors having a 4-inch embedment spaced at 12 inches on center. The detail requires a 6-inch minimum distance to the concrete edge and explicitly notes that the connection is prohibited at post-tensioned slabs.
