A C6x10.5 channel member connects horizontally to an HSS6x4x3/16 hollow structural section column using two 3/8-inch Nelson CFL studs spaced at 18 inches on center maximum, countersunk and located behind fins. The channel receives 2x6 blocking typically throughout its length. Fins finished as specified are spaced along the beam web and fastened with bolts set at 2 inches typical spacing. Top and bottom connections are secured with 1/8-inch fillet welds.
