An L4x4x5/16 angle brace connects between wide-flange steel beams supporting a concrete slab over a metal deck. Double angles of L4x4x1/4 are provided where beam spacing exceeds ten feet center-to-center, with stitch plates measuring 3/8 by 5 by 5 inches spaced at four feet center-to-center using 3/4-inch diameter A307 bolts where double angles occur. Gusset plates measuring 3/8 by 6 by 6 inches are welded to each end of the brace with 1/4-inch fillet welds. Each end of the brace is secured with a 3/4-inch diameter A307 bolt. Where beam spacing exceeds fifteen feet, the upper end of the angle brace attaches to the underside of the deck.
