A concrete equipment pad sits on a metal deck with concrete fill reinforced by 6x6-W2.9xW2.9 welded wire fabric and number four reinforcing bars spaced at thirty-six inches. The concrete surface is roughened or sandblasted by a quarter inch. Anchorage uses either cast-in-place bolts or drilled-in anchors with edge distances set to six times the bolt diameter or three inches minimum, whichever is greater. A raised concrete housekeeping pad up to twelve inches maximum height includes number four vertical reinforcing bars spaced at eighteen inches.
