This structural detail shows a control joint cut into a 6-inch thick concrete slab reinforced with number 3 bars at 18 inches on center each way. The joint is formed to a depth of T over 4 with a minimum depth of 1 and one-quarter inches. The concrete slab rests on a 12-inch layer of compacted fill compacted to 95 percent, set over compacted fill as specified in the geotechnical report. Unless noted otherwise, the slab thickness matches the truck court slab thickness.
