Steel beams and a diagonal brace angle connect to a central hollow structural section post at a common work point. A one-quarter inch thick gusset plate secures the beams and brace to the hollow structural section post. Each connection utilizes two three-quarter inch diameter bolts. Section A-A details the bolt spacing and the three-sixteenth inch fillet welds securing the connection components. Steel beam and brace angle sizes are to be verified per the structural plans.
