A guide post support bears on a concrete-filled metal deck assembly sized per plan, supported by a structural steel beam below. A structural brace sized per plan connects to the hollow structural section column using an L6x4x3/8 angle on each side, secured with a 5/8-inch-diameter bolt and a 3/16-inch fillet weld. The hollow structural section column is sized per plan and positioned one inch below the top of the post.
