A three-foot, six-inch typical concrete pilaster is reinforced with sixteen number ten vertical bars conforming to ASTM A706 Grade 80 and eighteen number nine vertical bars with number five ties set at five inches on center conforming to ASTM A615 Grade 80. Thirteen three-inch diameter Dywidag anchors with a yield strength of 120 ksi are positioned within the pilaster core. A two-inch concrete clearance is maintained all around the perimeter for the main pilaster section, while a one-and-a-half-inch clearance is maintained for the adjacent structural member.
