Wide-flange beams connect to a supporting column using complete joint penetration groove welds at the top and bottom flanges for moment transfer, paired with bolted shear plates on each side of the web for gravity load transfer. Both matching and non-matching beam depth conditions are accommodated at the column face. The top of steel elevation is maintained across the assembly.
