A steel framing connection at a spandrel beam condition accommodates an incoming gravity beam. The connection incorporates a full-depth connection plate at the spandrel beam and a full-depth web stiffener located opposite the beam connection. A kicker angle sized as L3x3x1/4 is provided at each kicker, welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld to a 3/8-inch by 5-inch square plate. Stud attachments to the structure are designated as gravity connections using screws or welds by the supplier. Additional conditions reference architectural ceiling heights and specific solid wall locations.
