Steel beams frame into an HSS column using a bolted tab plate connection sized per plan. A cap plate tops the HSS column at a discontinuous upper level condition. A concrete slab on metal deck bears near the top of the beam where indicated. The beam is centered on the column centerline, with a two-sided connection provided where required.
