Cold-formed metal studs bear directly on the track web supported by a metal roof deck. A continuous 12-gauge plate sits between the high flutes of the deck and is secured with two number 10 sheet metal screws at 12 inches on center at the high flutes. A continuous 600T150-43 track is fastened to the plate with two number 10 sheet metal screws at each stud, and two additional number 10 sheet metal screws connect the track directly to each stud. The metal roof deck spans in alternating directions depending on location per the structural framing plans.
