Two structural steel splice configurations connect perimeter edge shapes across panel joint locations. The channel splice uses one five-eighths-inch by ten-inch by twenty-seven-inch ASTM A992 Grade 50 splice plate centered on the joint and welded with a five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld on three sides. The angle splice uses an L6x4 edge angle tied with one three-quarter-inch by four-inch by eighteen-inch ASTM A992 Grade 50 splice plate at the long leg and one three-quarter-inch by two-inch by eighteen-inch splice plate at the short leg, each centered on the joint and secured with a five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld on three sides.
