A stair stringer connects to a wide-flange beam support using a three-eighths-inch stringer end plate welded with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld. An L6x4x3/8 angle with long leg vertical is continuous between stringers and fastened with two seven-eighths-inch diameter by one-and-one-half-inch A325 twist-off control bolts, with one bolt located within four inches of each stringer. A three-eighths-inch stiffener plate is welded to the wide-flange beam support with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds. Concrete fill is placed after the stair installation.
