A midspan beam bracing connection with gusset plates frames into a structural steel beam. Gusset plate stiffeners are provided where required, and additional stiffener plates are located along the beam web. The assembly accommodates concrete fill, with specific provisions for welding deck/bar anchors to the gusset plate or terminating fill reinforcement one inch maximum from the plate. Gusset plates are extended as required to provide a one-inch minimum clearance.
