A W10x88 steel beam connects via a vertical end plate measuring 1 foot 4 inches square by 1 and one-half inches thick. Twelve 1-inch diameter by 4 and one-quarter inch long ASTM F1852 bolts fasten the end plate in a symmetric pattern around the beam profile.
