A continuous steel beam per plan frames over a wide flange column per plan, resting on a bearing plate sized to match the beam flange thickness with a three-quarter-inch minimum. The bearing plate is fastened with four three-quarter-inch diameter A325-SC bolts. One-half-inch stiffener plates are welded to the column on the near side and far side with quarter-inch fillet welds applied to three sides on both the near side and far side.
