A glulam column splice assembly intersects with a cross-laminated timber deck and a glulam beam. Eight SDCF22614 column reinforcing screws are installed symmetrically to reinforce the connection. Edge distances and spacings are maintained at a minimum of one and one-half inches and a maximum of two and one-half inches, with typical vertical spacing at two inches on center. Reinforcing screws may be omitted when the column splice occurs at the top of the cross-laminated timber deck elevation, and screw locations are adjusted as required to avoid screw conflicts.
