A W12X65 wide flange shape frames adjacent to a hollow structural section header sized per plan. A three-quarter-inch by ten-inch plate connects the assembly with a typical four-inch dimension. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds are specified on three sides at the top connection. Additional typical five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the bottom flange junction.
