Twelve-gauge steel pan stairs with one and one-half inch deep concrete fill bear directly on a concrete slab on grade at the finished floor elevation. The stair stringer connects to the concrete slab via an L3x3x1/4 by zero-foot-three-inch long clip angle on each leg, secured with one-half-inch diameter screw anchors. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld fastens the stringer to the connection angle.
