A structural steel beam connects to a wide flange column using a one-inch ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel plate welded to the members. The connection includes an erector option for up to three three-quarter-inch diameter A325 bolts with a minimum eight-inch spacing. Fillet welds of three-eighths inch and five-sixteenths inch are specified, with the five-sixteenths inch weld applied on three sides with a field weld indicator. Dimensions dictate a minimum one-foot eight-inch plate length and maximum two-and-a-half-inch edge distances.
