A continuous steel edge angle frames the perimeter of the concrete over steel deck slab, supported by a structural steel beam below. A deflection clip connects the wall stud assembly to the edge angle to accommodate vertical slab movement. The wall stud extends upward with a wall bottom track and exterior wall cladding. This configuration isolates the stud framing from structural deflection loads transferred through the floor slab.
