This structural plan detail shows a concrete pilaster integrated with a basement wall. The centerlines of the pilaster and the column above coincide at the grid intersection unless noted otherwise on the plan. Wall horizontal reinforcement continues through the pilaster, and basement wall reinforcement runs continuously behind the pilaster. The pilaster concrete strength and vertical reinforcement are sized per the concrete column schedule, while the wall thickness and concrete strength are determined per the plan and general notes. A one-and-a-half-inch clearance is maintained.
