A raised concrete equipment pad bears on a structural slab. The pad incorporates styrofoam fill with a minimum compressive strength of twenty psi beneath a reinforced concrete topping. Number four reinforcing bars are placed at twelve inches on center each way and centered within the slab. Number four dowels are spaced at twelve inches on center typically at curbs with a four inch embedment into the structural slab.
