An HSS 6x4 elevator separator beam frames into the web of a structural steel member using an L8x6x1/2 angle clip cut to fit. The angle is welded to the supporting steel with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. The HSS beam connects to the angle using a one-quarter inch fillet weld with a three-inch minimum length. A two-inch minimum clearance is maintained at the top flange condition unless noted otherwise.
