A structural steel beam receives an L4x3 1/2x3/8 angle welded to its web with a six-inch minimum vertical spacing unless noted otherwise. The angle features long legs horizontal typical, connected to the beam web using quarter-inch fillet welds spaced at three inches on twelve-inch centers on both top and bottom sides. A secondary beam per plan frames into the assembly.
