A hanging steel hollow structural section beam connects to a supporting steel beam using a five-sixteenth-inch steel plate and steel angle braces. A steel plate running parallel to the beams knives through the column with bolted connections. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld is applied to three sides typically at the connection points.
