A 4-inch by 2-inch by 4-inch long by 54 mil clip angle connects a cold-formed metal framing member to the underside of a steel beam flange. Two 0.145-inch diameter low-velocity fasteners secure the clip angle to the steel beam flange with a three-quarter-inch minimum edge distance. Three number 10 screws fasten the cold-formed metal framing stud to the clip angle leg.
