A hollow structural section beam connects to a curved embed plate anchored into a concrete substrate. An L6x4x1/2 angle, measuring zero feet six inches long, provides the seat connection beneath the beam and welds to the embed plate with a quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides. A three-eighths-inch thick by three-inch wide by zero-feet-six-inch long plate matches the curvature of the circular concrete element and anchors back into the concrete using welded studs. A quarter-inch fillet weld secures the hollow structural section beam to the supporting angle and plates on three sides.
