A reinforced concrete grade beam intersects with a concrete slab, incorporating an optional construction joint at the top of footing. Four number six slab dowels are spaced at twelve inches on center with standard ninety-degree hooks at the bottom. Number five stirrups are placed at twelve inches on center within the grade beam, supplemented by number five closure cap ties at each stirrup location with alternating hook sides. Top and bottom reinforcement sizing follows the grade beam schedule, and standard ninety-degree hooks are utilized throughout with a typical nine-inch minimum clearance.
