A symmetrical steel core is enclosed within a casing, terminated at each end with bolted gusset plates. A one-eighth-inch seal weld is specified at the casing end with a note restricting welding to a seal weld only along the edge of the gusset plate. The assembly is symmetrical about the centerline.
