An HSS8x8 girt connects to a structural steel column utilizing a WT6x20 shape at an HSS column or a W14 column outrigger, featuring an L5x3x1/2 by zero-foot-five-and-a-half-inch long-legs-horizontal angle secured with two 7/8-inch-diameter A325-N bolts. The girt is detailed with a 3/8-inch end plate and a one-inch-diameter weep hole centered typically, welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld both sides typically and a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld at the end plate. A WT6x20 measuring one foot two inches long is provided at the HSS8x8 column, and a WT6x20 measuring zero feet ten inches long is provided at the W14 column outrigger.
