A continuous bent plate or continuous bar with a diameter of one-quarter to three-eighths inches is utilized depending on the roof slope relative to the roof beam. Fillet welds of three-sixteenths inch are specified at typical locations, with staggered spacing of one and one-half inches by twelve inches. A specific note directs the use of a bent plate when the deck slope relative to the roof beam reaches one-half inch to twelve inches and greater.
