A structural brace connects perpendicularly to a concrete-filled steel deck using a 3/8-inch thick A36 gusset plate. The gusset plate welds to a 1/2-inch by 6-inch plate anchored by two 3/4-inch diameter studs embedded into the concrete deck. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the brace to the gusset plate on both the near side and far side. Connection details follow the typical beam brace standard.
