This assembly details a joist girder seat supported by bearing pockets within adjacent concrete panels separated by a three-quarter-inch joint. A one-inch by five-and-a-half-inch by twenty-two-inch jumper plate, fabricated from fifty-ksi steel with two-inch slotted holes, bridges the panel joint to provide a continuous bearing surface. The plate is secured using three-quarter-inch diameter grade fifty-five S1 threaded rods, each provided with a standard nut and washer. The nuts are hand-tightened, backed off one-quarter turn, and then tack-welded to the bolt to ensure proper seating. Each panel features a type A66-16 embed plate within the sixteen-inch wide bearing pocket, which is positioned one inch below the girder bearing elevation to accommodate the jumper plate.
