An HSS beam connects below an HSS hanger with supporting L5x5x3/8 angles on near side and far side, sized to match the width of the HSS beam. A cap plate is installed at the end of the beam per sheet B/S5.03. Fillet welds of 1/4 inch secure the angles to the intersecting members.
