An expansion anchor is installed in the upper flute and low flute of a minimum 20-gauge metal deck supporting normal or sand-lightweight concrete fill with a minimum 3000 PSI strength. The concrete fill provides a minimum of five-eighths inch cover over the upper flute and a maximum of 3 inches over the low flute. A bent plate sized per the accompanying schedule is anchored to the wide flange beam, utilizing a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld with a three-inch weld at each end and field welds as indicated. Number 4 reinforcing bars or Nelson D2L deformed bar anchors are spaced at 12 inches on center. A future railing base by the tenant attaches to the slab assembly.
